VICTOR BURRO RACE & RUN THE GOLD BELT

Fuel up your thoroughbred burro for the granddaddy of epic race events—Victor’s Pack Burro Race! Experience an exhilarating day of fast and furious (and sometimes furry) racing that must be seen to be believed! Proceeds benefi t the Southern Teller County Focus Group Trail Fund.

Race Day Highlights - Pack Burro Racing Gold Rush Challenge:
Race Weigh-in
: 10am (Pinnacle Park Plaza, 109 N. 3rd St)
Race Begins: 12pm (Pinnacle Park Plaza, 109 N. 3rd St)
Course Length: 6.62 miles
1st Place Prize: $250 and a 1 oz Victor-mined silver coin
2nd Place Prize: $200 and a 1 oz. Victor-mined silver coin
3rd Place Prize: $175

Beer Garden & Live Music!

Nicest Ass:
All racing burros will be entered into the “Nicest Ass” drawing, with into t winner’s human racing partner receiving a $100 prize!

Time - Race Starts at 6PM
Registration opens at 4:00 pm.
Location: Victor, Colorado

Pre-Registration Fee (before August 19th):
$30 for Adults
$25 Under 18

After August 19th and Race Day Registration:
$35 for Adults
$30 Under 18

Team Rate:
$100.00 FOR TEAM OF 4 (not eligible for individual prizes)

T-Shirts for all runners, size not guaranteed after Aug 19th.

Cash prize for 1st place in each division with medals for 2nd and 3rd place in each division.
Winning team members will receive medal and gift certificate for local business
2nd and 3rd place teams receive ribbons.

Race Route
Starting and Ending in downtown Victor, travels along trails that were originally railroad grades and past historic mining features.

Planned for after race: MUSIC, FOOD AND BEER

This race is a promotion and fundraiser for the GOLD BELT TOUR SCENIC AND HISTORIC BYWAY, ASSOCIATION. GOLD BELT BYWAY ASSOCIATION MISSION STATEMENT

Promotes open space & a healthy natural environment, historic awareness and cultural features along the byway. Accomplishing this with by collaborating with business, communities, government agencies and organizations.
