New Mayor – Council Vacancy

Congratulations to Mayor Bruce Davis who was appointed to fill the vacant mayoral position at last night’s City Council meeting.  That now leaves a vacancy in Ward 1 on City Council.

If you are interested in filling that vacancy until the November election and are a qualified elector in Ward 1, please see the following Announcement:

The City of Victor is seeking Letters of Intent for the newly vacated City Council position formerly held by Councilor Bruce Davis.  In accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes, an individual will be appointed by Council to fill the vacant position until the next regularly scheduled election, to be held on November 5, 2019.  Qualified persons interested in filling the position must submit a letter expressing interest to the Mayor and City Council no later than Friday, August 9, 2019 by 9:00 a.m. for inclusion in Council packets. Letters may be hand carried to the City Clerk at 500 Victor Avenue or emailed to gthurston@cityofvictor.com.  City Council will fill the vacancy at the regularly scheduled meeting on August 15th, 2019 at 6 pm.

Mayor Daniel Resignation

Mayor Don Daniel submitted his resignation effective July 1st due to health reasons.  Council will choose a new mayor amongst the remaining members at the July 11th regular meeting and decide whether to appoint a new council member in August or let the open seat be filled by the electorate at the November election.

Please keep Don and Sandra Daniel and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
